Konstantin Wecker Bibliography
As part of my musical studies and personal insterest, I did quite a bit of research of Konstantin Wecker
and his music throughout my university days and beyond. This bibliography reports on all of my
findings, in hopes that it will help others others doing similar research and study. I try to give as much
information as possible for one to easily acquire these resources. It is really only accurate
to the late 1990's/early 2000's, as that is when I was doing the bulk of my research. For the most up to date list
of Konstantin Wecker's recordings, books, films, and more, visit his official website, where there is a
comprehensive archive.
Albums can be ordered in practically any record shop with the
proper title, artist, label, and number. Books and articles can be retrieved through interlibrary loans (available at most universities),
and if you are lucky, a few might even be at your own local library or university. A note of interest: most of the books I brought in through interlibrary loans came from other
Canadian universities, mostly from the Eastern provinces, not Germany. A few even came in from the United States. I found several articles in the periodical section of my university library. Most
had to be brought in, and likely came directly from Germany. While I know of many films Wecker has starred in or scored the music for, I have been unable to locate any of them locally, even
at alternative rental stores specializing in imports. If anyone knows of any online resources where they can be purchased, please let me know. It was only through sheer luck I discovered a wealth of television appearances --
unfortunately I am not able to copy these (in fact, I myself don't even have copies of some of them), so please don't ask.
